I believe God spoke to me that something really special is going to happen in your life—I believe Holy Communion is the key.
So many people have been robbed of the power of God that comes through Holy Communion.
There’s power in the body and blood of Jesus. He is our Holy Communion.
In this month’s blog, I want to reveal to you the power, peace, and freedom we can experience when we partake in Holy Communion. No matter what’s going on in our lives or in the world right now—even in the midst of life’s problems—we can receive His power and expect Him to deliver us. It’s the supernatural power of God that makes all the difference!
When Jesus Himself faced His most difficult trial, let’s see what He did and follow His example. Look at this powerful verse in 1 Corinthians 11. It says in verse 23,
“For I received from the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus, the same night in which He was betrayed, took bread.”
- Notice, it says in verse 23, “The same night that He was betrayed, He took bread.” The same night that He was betrayed, He took the cup.
We’ve all been betrayed. Perhaps your health has betrayed you, or a loved one has betrayed you. Perhaps your body has betrayed you, your finances have betrayed you, or your emotions have betrayed you. Jesus was betrayed—and He took Holy Communion.
How can a man—the very night that He’s being betrayed—take Holy Communion? That’s literally what He did. He took Holy Communion the very night that He was betrayed. This is His message to us. . .
- We’ve got to stop waiting until everything’s perfect in our lives before we take Holy Communion.
We need to realize that in the midst of the storm, we can take Holy Communion. And that’s when the power flows.
The very night that He was being betrayed, He took Holy Communion. Why? Because Jesus knew that no matter what was happening in His life, there was power in His body and blood.
That’s what He means when He says He prepares a table for us in the presence of our enemies. Psalm 23:5 says,
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Whether your enemy is sickness, lack, fear, anxiety, family problems, or whatever the enemy is—right in the presence of that enemy, He prepares a table. What is that table? It’s the Lord’s Table of Holy Communion.
- When you take Holy Communion in the midst of your problems, your problems are going to change.
God is going to deliver you. It’s going to happen for you at the Lord’s Table.
To give us some insight, let’s look at what John 13:37 says.
“After the morsel, Satan then entered into him (Judas). Therefore Jesus said to him, ‘What you do, do quickly.’”
Think about this: Satan was at the table in the form of Judas, but the Father was at the table in the form of the bread. Satan was at the table in the form of Judas, but God was at the table in the form of the wine they were about to drink. No matter what enemy was at the table, the anointing was greater. And as soon as they partook of Holy Communion, “Satan” (in the form of Judas) fled “out into the night”! (John 13:30)
Right now, the anointing is at your table. What anointing? The anointing that removes every burden and destroys every yoke. (Isaiah 10:27, KJV) And that anointing is in the body and blood of Jesus.
Remember when the woman poured the costly perfume over Jesus’ head? The disciples said: “What a waste.” But Jesus said, “Leave her alone, for she’s anointed my body for burial” (Mark 14:4–8).
You see? His Body carries the anointing. And when we eat the bread and drink the cup, there’s an anointing that removes the burdens and destroys the yokes. Do you have a burden in your life? Do you have a yoke in your life? You can stop waiting for everything to be perfect. Partake in Holy Communion today, and expect the burdens to be removed and the yokes to be destroyed!
